There is a volunteer informational meeting at the Attleboro Public Library in the Balfour Room on Monday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m.
We have put together a list of the volunteer opportunities, see below, and a description of what to expect. Please see below. Please read through and see where your skills may fit the best. you can let us know through email or sign up at the info session on March 9.

Saturday, Market Day
All volunteers must be trained on the proper setup and takedown of market tents prior to helping for the first time. Market managers or other experienced volunteers will assist with this.
7:30 to 11, 4-6 volunteers needed
- Unpack the storage container
- Setup management tent, community tents
- Place signs at designated places (County and Bushee streets and Verndale Ave. and Thacher St.)
- Place tables, trash barrels, traffic cones
- Help vendors setup tents
- Help musicians setup
- Watch for patrons coming in before the bell is rung
- Half hourly customer count
- Check vendors periodically if they need anything (e.g. bathroom break)
- Monitor grounds for trash, collect as needed (gloves provided)
- Help visitors carry bags to their vehicles
11 to 1:30 4-6 volunteers needed

Marketing, Social Media, Website skills
Each week leading up to Saturday and during the Market.
- Content generation for website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Strategic placement of social media advertising
- Website maintenance/content
- Email marketing
Event management
The main event is the Market itself.
- Volunteers need to be coordinated
- Vendors assigned spaces
- The field occasionally needs to have the vendor spots measured and marked
- Market day music
The Market has special events on Market day that need to be organized and run.

Finance, accounting, bookkeeping and budgeting
This is primarily a Board function. The money in, money out part of the Market. We are a not-for-profit.
Board
The Board runs the Market operations overseeing the Market Manager. Board members are working members. They participate in all aspects of the Market including the Saturday Market Day activities.
- Sets the dates of the Market and special events
- Selects the Market vendors
- A board member is part of each committee
- Reviews the Policies and Procedures and weather guidelines
