I was wondering why you are not set up to take EBT. All the farmers markets in RI do. It would enable more people to shop at the market.
Hi Mary!
Thank you for the great question.
I am in the process of trying to get the market set up for the Massachussetts version for next summer selling season. The State is having difficulty with the program and how it applies to Farmers Markets and are trying to work out the bugs. Only a small percentage of farmers market take the EBT in MASS.
Just so you are aware all of our farms take the WIC and Senior coupons at this time.
Feel free to stop by the managemnt tent at the market any time to discuss this further! I hope to see you Saturday!
Sincerely,
Heather Porreca
Market Manager
There is a class I need to take to learn how to operate the machines and such. I also need to qualify for the program. I will be working on that
Plus Products of the Hive will be there! Yay for Nason family awesomeness!
