Summer Saturday at the Market

July 14, more produce, products and learn about recycling

Lots of corn, beets, white turnip, bok choi, sugar snap peas, potatoes, summer squash, cucumbers, green beans and maybe some tomatoes. Rick Oliver says his Starfighter Oriental lilies have nice big buds and will bloom in a week.

Each week this season we are collecting donations for a local food pantry. This Saturday is St. Vincent dePaul Society. Bring healthy non-perishable and not out-of -date food products to the Manager’s Tent. Food items such as soups, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, pastas, sauces and canned meats are welcome. Cash or check donations will also be accepted. When you bring an item for donation you will be entered in a drawing to win a Kindle. There will be at least two drawings during the season.

Marj Enimmonen from the Attleboro Area Sustainable Action Project will present ways to recycle your plastics. Music this week by Walter Kearney on acoustic guitar.

Produce, vegetables and other local products will be available from these *vendors:
